About the archive
The Deck Wall is a free archive of skateboard decks, from the 1970s to now: every deck we can find, with who made it, who rode it, who drew it and when. It started with UK brands and has grown to 34,345 decks from 192 brands.
How it's put together
The decks are pieced together from brands' own websites (many kept by the Internet Archive), shop catalogues going back to the 1980s, reissue sell sheets, artists' archives, magazines and collectors who send in their own boards. Each colourway and reissue run has its own page, linked to the original, so you can see a graphic's whole history. Every photo is credited, and we say where each detail came from.
We use software, including AI, to help read old catalogues and match photos to decks, and a person checks what goes in. Decks that haven't been checked yet are marked "not yet verified".
The brands, artists and photographers
The graphics belong to the brands and artists who made them, and the photos to whoever took them. The archive exists to celebrate and document that work, and to send people to the brands and to UK skate shops. If something here is yours and you'd rather it wasn't, or should be credited differently, see image credits and removals.
No ads
There are no ads, and nobody pays to be in the archive. Some eBay links on deck pages are affiliate links, which may earn us a small commission and help cover running costs (see Terms).
