Andy Howell

Andy Howell turned pro as a skateboarder in 1988 and co-founded New Deal Skateboards in 1990 with Steve Douglas and Paul Schmitt, serving as creative director. His graffiti and cartoon-influenced graphics helped change skateboard art, and he designed the Big Deals baggy jeans. He co-curated the New Deal 1990 show with Shepard Fairey.
