Jimbo Phillips

Jimbo Phillips grew up in the Santa Cruz art world as the son of Jim Phillips, who drew the Santa Cruz Skateboards graphics of the 70s and 80s and created the Screaming Hand. He started young, working for his father on skateboard graphics, T-shirts, stickers and magazine ads, and set up his own graphic art studio in the early 90s, drawing for skateboard companies and for brands including Nike, Toyota and Volcom.

His comic-book style runs through the 2005 video game Tony Hawk's American Wasteland, and he has had signature collaborations with Bell, Electric, Volcom and Puma, with shows in Europe, South America and Canada. He also donated a graphic to Second Harvest Food Bank's Grind Out Hunger deck, and sells original art, prints and clothing direct from his own shop.
