Baker

Started in 2000 by Andrew Reynolds and filmer Jay Strickland after Reynolds left Birdhouse, growing out of the Baker Bootleg video.

History

  • Andrew Reynolds left Birdhouse and started Baker with Jay Strickland in 2000. [1][2][3]
  • The brand grew out of the Baker Bootleg video, and Baker 2G (2000) acted as its official launch. [3][2]
  • Baker first signed with Blitz Distribution, where by 2008 it was the top-selling brand. [2][1]
  • Reynolds and Strickland later split: Reynolds kept Baker and Strickland took Bootleg. [3]
  • Bakerboys Distribution was set up in 2007 with Erik Ellington and Jim Greco and handles brands including Deathwish. [2][1]
  • Major videos include Baker 3 (2005) and Baker 4 (2019). [1][2]
