Crayon "rose from the ashes of East Skateboards in December 2007" in Cardiff, run by South Wales filmer Matthew "Dykie" Ryan. It represented the West Country and South Wales until 2013, turning Korahn Gayle, Chris Jones and Dan Wileman pro in 2011, with graphics by artists including Pete Fowler (among them a Super Furry Animals deck).
