Duane Peters

Duane Peters is a Californian vert skater from Orange County who came up in the late 1970s pool and park scene and earned the nickname 'Master of Disaster' for his fearless, slam-heavy approach. He is credited with inventing or pioneering a long list of tricks, including the acid drop, the layback grind, the fakie hang-up (the 'disaster') and the invert revert, as well as a full loop. A central figure in tying skateboarding to punk rock, he went on to front U.S. Bombs, formed in 1993, and was named Transworld Skateboarding's Legend in 2003.
