Started in 1993 by Plan B riders Mike Carroll and Rick Howard with Spike Jonze and Megan Baltimore, Girl is the flagship brand of Girl Distribution (Crailtap).

History

  • Girl was started in August 1993 by riders who left Plan B, led by Mike Carroll and Rick Howard. [3][2]
  • Spike Jonze and Megan Baltimore were co-founders behind the scenes. [1][3]
  • Girl Distribution, known as Crailtap, is based in Torrance, California, and also runs Chocolate, Royal Trucks, Fourstar and Lakai. [1]
  • Rick Howard said Girl was set up so that pro skaters would have a future. [1]
  • Pretty Sweet (2012) won Best Video at the 15th Transworld Skateboarding Awards. [1]
  • Breana Geering became Girl's first female team rider in 2019. [1]
