Ali Boulala

Ali Boulala was born in Stockholm in 1979 and joined Flip as a teenager, becoming known for his fearless, freewheeling skating. His part in Flip's 2002 video Sorry, which includes his attempt at the Lyon 25 stair set, made him one of the most talked-about skaters of the time; he also rode for Independent and Kr3w and appeared in Baker videos. In 2007 he was badly injured in a motorcycle crash in Melbourne that killed fellow skater Shane Cross, events covered in the 2021 documentary The Scars of Ali Boulala.
