Christian Hosoi

Christian Hosoi is an American vert skater, born in Hawaii and raised largely in Los Angeles, who turned pro for Sims as a young teenager. Famed for his huge airs and style, he invented the Christ Air and Rocket Air and was Tony Hawk's main rival through the 1980s. He launched his own brand, Hosoi Skates, in 1984, was the subject of the 2006 documentary Rising Son, and entered the Skateboarding Hall of Fame in 2010.
