Mark Gonzales

Mark Gonzales, known as 'the Gonz', is from South Gate, California, and is often called the godfather of modern street skating. He rose to fame on Vision in the mid-1980s, and in 1986 he and Natas Kaupas were among the first to boardslide handrails. He co-founded Blind with Steve Rocco, and his part in Blind's Video Days (1991) is widely seen as one of the most important in skateboarding. He later rode for Real and in 2002 started Krooked. He is also a well-known artist, and in 2011 Transworld named him the most influential skater of all time.
