Lance Mountain

Lance Mountain is a skater and artist from Pasadena, California, who turned pro for Variflex in 1981 before moving to Powell Peralta and joining the Bones Brigade. His playful, comedic presence in the Bones Brigade videos, especially The Search for Animal Chin (1987), made him one of the best-loved skaters of the 1980s. In 1991 he co-founded The Firm, and he has since ridden for Flip, with parts including Extremely Sorry (2009). He has been inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame and is often credited with making an early prototype fingerboard.
